OUR NAME

Our name is evocative of the spirited women we celebrate and outfit. Bon mot translates to “good word” in French but commonly means “good one,” as in a clever remark or witticism. The BONMOT woman is sophisticated, fun, elegant and sometimes irreverent. But above all, she is whatever she wants to be. Our products are here to accentuate what you all are already doing – living life.

OUR STORY

I recently discovered a pair of mesh Walter Steiger brogues from 1982. They belonged to my mom and are just as chic now as they were 32 years ago – a testament to her shopping habits and timeless taste. My mom loves to buy versatile pieces that she can wear for years, and has shown me the value of selecting and treasuring essential classics.

I, on the other hand, have always adored bold, unexpected prints, shapes and textures.  With little regard for longevity, I have always been drawn to the new, exciting, and cutting edge.

BONMOT pairs a love for the exuberant with a deep appreciation for the classics. We are relentless about fit, fabric, and quality, and delivering beautiful clothes at an unmatched price point.
